The Department of Services for Children, Youth and their Families (DSCYF) is now offering incentives for new hires for Youth Rehabilitation, Family Service, and Teacher positions, in accordance with the DSCYF Recruitment and Referral Program.
The program provides recruitment incentives as follows:
$10,000 signing bonus to full time, Merit Family Service Specialist, Youth Care Specialist I, Teacher, Teacher Special Education or Teacher's Aide positions. This bonus will be paid in two installments: $5,000 upon completing all required training, paperwork, and conditions of hire and $5,000 at 18 months of employment from the original date of initial employment. New employees accepting this incentive must commit to two consecutive years with DSCYF in the above classifications.
$2,500 referral bonus to Merit DSCYF employees who refer applicants who become DSCYF new, full time, Merit Family Service Specialist, Youth Care Specialist I, Teacher, Teacher Special Education or Teacher's Aide positions. The bonus will be paid in two installments: $1,250 upon form completion and applicant completing all conditions of hire and $1,250 paid 18 months after the new employee’s initial date of employment.
NOTE: This program is administered by The Department of Services for Children, Youth and their Families. This program may be terminated by the State at any time. Casual-seasonal positions are not eligible for this program.
